It was good.
I caught some action.
I played in the band.
Ate pizza

Went to work.

I came home to a wife in tears.
She missed me.

I called my brother in Uganda.
His well had struck water at noon.

Now that all the players

What will the young children do?
Where will they go?

I woke up here.

One day

There was lots of time
Once upon a time
Until I spent all my money
On a crazy hair-brained scheme.

Then I went crazy seeking searching
for cigarettes
Smoking then coughing,
Spitting, and puking.

I got hungry with nothing to eat.
Begged, borrowed and stole.
Even put all my good plans on hold.
Until someone sent me to a Doctor.

A decade later - I sit alive;
Living as well as can be.
